According to a new rumor from Scooper MTTSH (via CBM), a report is circulating that Clooney is in talks with Marvel Studios for an as-yet-undisclosed role.
Clooney is 63 years old and, even if he doesn’t look it and could afford to play a younger guy, this narrows, at least to a certain extent, the field of characters he could be involved with.
At the moment, the most popular theory seems to be that of a multiversal variant of Nick Fury, which could certainly be introduced during or in the lead-up to Avengers: Secret Wars. There is also some speculation that he could be in the running to play Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four.
