THE ACOLYTE showrunner teases “four to five big mysteries” for season 2, should it happen

Regardless of what you think of Lucasfilm Star Wars: The Acolyte series, many fans are watching it and with these views the possibility of a second season arises.

Now, we have no idea if there will be a second season, but if it will, the showrunner of the series Leslye Promontory has created some mysteries to explore if this happens.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Headland said that she was primarily focused on telling a complete story in the first season, while leaving some room for the surviving characters to grow in potential future seasons.

Headland said: “I remember reading that Gilligan wins when I wrote and made the first season of Breaking Bad I didn’t really plan, ‘We’re going to have seven more seasons, and this is what’s going to happen to Walter White.’

“It was much more, ‘Here’s all we have. We’re throwing everything at the wall.’ And then with the pickup, she mapped out, ‘Okay, here’s what’s going to happen over the course of any number of seasons.’ So I took this approach with this one to throw it all away in season 1, because who knows what’s going to happen?

He continued, “And then I would say there are four to five major mysteries and plot points that will need to be addressed in season 2, but until we get a proper revival, I’m afraid that we’re going to spend a lot of time in that season.” It’s a bit of a world — especially at a time when I’ve been working on this project for so long that I’m honestly exhausted by its release — to jump right into like, ‘Okay, season 2…’

Headland explained: “It’ll probably be more that I know what needs to happen and I know what the character development needs to be to hit the plot points and the character points for a second, third or fourth season. So I’m looking forward to work on it, but I haven’t done so at the moment.”

He continued: “I’ll tell you my philosophy on the first seasons. One thing I’ve noticed is that the first seasons will end with what should have been the second act break. It seems like everyone is really expecting to have a second season, and I don’t think that’s a good idea.

“I think you should put everything you can into the first season and give the audience a nice resolution that’s satisfying, but enough nods to the mysteries to make you want to see a second season.

The creator concluded: “So it’s a little bit of both. You don’t want to leave it so wrapped up, like Obi-Wan or a standalone miniseries, that you have no reason to watch a second season, but I think there’s enough stuff in the last few episodes that you’ll want to see. they responded.”

Fans of the series will have a much better idea of what a second season might look like after the first season ends. One thing we can expect, though, is a solid ending that wraps up a complete story, and I’m sure fans will appreciate that.
