FANTASTIC FOUR (2005) Star Jessica Alba talks fondly about her time playing Sue Storm and how it affected her life

Jessica Alba he has starred in fan favorite films such as Never been kissedTHE City of Sin movie, the Machete film and his next starring action vehicle Activation notice. But few projects have influenced her and changed her life for the better as much as the 2005 Marvel film Fantastic Four and its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007).

In a recent interview with CBM, Alba spoke about the role and its repercussions on her personal life, saying:

“These are nothing but fond memories. I loved playing that character so much. I feel like my whole life began in many ways at that moment. I met my life partner [producer Cash Warren], we are still together, we have three children. Tim Story, who directed the film, is still one of my best friends. Let’s spend New Year’s Eve together.

“It was great and she was a fantastic character, inspiring and ahead of her time, I would say, in the genre. And yet, you haven’t yet seen someone who is so polite and feminine, but also a fearsome badass.” . I never saw that combination again. And so I think she still fills this beautiful kind of space or void in the Marvel universe.”

Rumor has it that we’ll see at least some of it by the mid-2000s Fantastic Four cast of Marvel Studios’ Multiverse Saga, featuring Chris Evans it is strongly rumored that he will reprise his role as the Human Torch. Ioan Gruffudd he played Mister Fantastic and Michael Chiklis he played The Thing in those films.

The upcoming reinvention of the MCU Fantastic Four has hired Pedro Pasquale as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic); Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman); Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch); AND Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing). Giulia Garner will play Shalla-Bal, a version of the Silver Surfer; AND Paolo Walter Hauser was cast in an undisclosed role.

Matt Shakman (WandaVision) is directing from a screenplay by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff KaplanAND Ian Springer. Peter Cameron (WandaVision) also wrote something about the project. Production will begin this summer, with the film due for release in theaters on July 25, 2025.
