Oscar Isaac AND Carey Mulligan are in talks to star in the upcoming second season of Netflix Beef. Joining the previous cast are Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny.
According to the report, the second season is yet to get the green light but the story will revolve around two feuding couples.
The roles Isaac and Mulligan were rumored to play were Jake Gyllenhaal AND Anne Hathawaybut in the end this did not happen.
In the first season, Steven Yeun plays Danny, “a down-on-his-luck entrepreneur, along with Ali Wong who plays Amy, a small business owner. The lives of the two strangers converge after being involved in a car accident.
“Over the course of the show’s 10 episodes, the couple’s lives become increasingly entangled as their feud consumes their lives.”
The creator of the series Lee Sung Jin he previously weighed in on the show’s future, saying, “I wanted it to have a conclusive feel [for Season One] in the case of. But there are many ideas from me to take this story forward.
“I think if we were lucky enough to have a second season, Danny and Amy would have many ways to continue. I have a really big general idea that I can’t say yet, but at the moment I have three seasons already mapped out in my head.”
The first season was fantastic and it will be interesting to see how next season turns out. I wonder how they will connect to each other.
Isaac and Mulligan had previously appeared together in the film Inside Llewyn Davis.
