A new rumor suggests that VENOM: THE LAST DANCE will see Eddie Brock face off against one of his most formidable foes

We are preparing for the final film Tom Hardy trilogy, Venom: The Last Danceand they’re said to be making a big splash with this movie, introducing Knull, one of Eddie Brock’s biggest enemies on the page.

At the moment, there’s no word on who will play Knull or how big of a role he’ll likely have in the threequel. A few reliable social media scoopers have since chimed in (via ComicBook), and it appears there’s at least some truth to this.

Knull was introduced by the writer Donny Cates and artist Ryan Stegmann and first appeared in 2018 Poison #3. The villain is a malevolent ancient deity and the creator of the symbiotes, including Venom and Carnage (he also has ties to Gorr the God Butcher).

Knull’s origin dates back to the early universe before the existence of the Celestials. He dwelt in the void, a dark space before creation, and was disturbed by the emergence of light.

In response, Knull created the first symbiote, a living darkness known as the All-Black Necrosword, which he used to kill a Celestial. This act of rebellion led to his exile, during which he created an army of symbiotes to spread his influence.

Knull’s power is immense, capable of manipulating darkness and symbiotes at will. He considers himself a God of darkness and has a deep hatred for light and life, and in the present day he has almost conquered the Marvel Universe.

If this is it Venom: The Last DanceBy the end of the game, it feels like something of a throwaway for the final movie, which will rush through the story and not give enough story or character development. But it’s probably on par with the franchise, which mostly made light of the comic.

In The Last Dance, “Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo is forced to make a devastating decision that will bring the curtain down on Venom and Eddie’s final dance.

The Last Dance stars Tom Hardy, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Temple of Juno, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna UbachAND Stephen Graham.

Venom: The Last Dance will be released in theaters on October 25th.
