Bruce Springsteen biopic DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE adds Paul Walter Hauser to its cast

THE Bruce Springsteen biopic Free me from nothing has Paolo Walter Hauser in talks to join the cast. The Emmy and Golden Globe winner has previously starred in popular films and series Cobra Kai, Richard JewellAND Black Bird.

While unconfirmed, sources say he will play longtime guitar tech Mike Batlan in the 20th century biopic. Jeremy Allen White he’s ready to play Springsteen Scott Cooper directing the film that tells the story of the making of Springsteen’s classic album Nebraska.

20th Century closed a deal last April to finance and distribute the film that follows the rock n’ roll genius who, after struggling with personal demons and trying to become a global superstar, Springsteen wrote and recorded Nebraska, the 1982 album that rivals Joni Mitchell’s Blue as one of the most emotionally raw, dark and honest albums in recent music history.

Batlan was Springsteen’s longtime guitar tech, who had Baltan build a recording studio in the bedroom of his apartment in the rock star’s early days. It would eventually make him one of his main touring engineers in the 1970s and early 1980s.

Hauser has been busy setting up his future roster starting with the game Chris Farley in the new biopic The Chris Farley Show. The package, which stars him and Josh Gadd directs, was sold to New Line earlier this year in a deal that sets up another possible awards season for Hauser.

He also recently landed a secret role at Marvel Studios Fantastic Four movie. He will also play the role of Captain Ed in Untitled Naked gun reboot from Paramount Pictures.
