New Line Cinema is developing a horror-themed sequel The rebel WilsonIt’s the romantic comedy Isn’t that romantic?which will be titled Isn’t that scary?.
The film was written by April Prosser (Look both ways) and the film is said to take “a similar meta approach, riffing on horror genre tropes”.
Isn’t It Romantic centers on Natalie, “a New York architect who works hard to get noticed at her work, but is more likely to deliver coffee and bagels than design the city’s next skyscraper.
“Things go from bad to strange when he passes out during a subway robbery and magically wakes up to find himself in an alternate universe.
“Always cynical about love, Natalie’s worst nightmare soon comes true when she suddenly discovers that she’s playing the lead in a romantic comedy in real life.”
So, the sequel will focus on terrifying and nightmarish stuff, which should be a lot of fun to watch! This is a fantastic concept that will work really well with the horror genre.
No other talent is attached to the project at this time, but it will be interesting to see how the film is put together.
