Review: YOUNG WOMAN AND THE SEA is one of the best films of the year!

I finally had the opportunity to go out and watch the latest Disney movie Young woman and the sea, and it’s a wonderful film that tells a true, incredible and inspiring story. I loved this movie and it is hands down one of the best movies I’ve seen this year! It’s a must for anyone who loves movies!

The film was directed by Joachim Rønningwhich previously brought us films like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Eviland the imminent Tron: Ares, this film stands out as his best work to date. While Kon-Tiki it was my favorite film of his, Young woman and the sea surpasses it with its compelling, beautiful story and emotional depth.

Movie stars Margaret Ridley in what I believe is his best performance yet. Ridley plays Trudy Ederle, a competitive swimmer who, in 1926, became the first woman to swim across the English Channel.

Ridley’s portrayal of Trudy is both powerful and complex, capturing the determination and resilience of a young woman who defied the odds stacked against her. I loved her in this role!

The film also features great performances by Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Stephen Graham, Kim Bodniaand more. Each actor brings their character to life, adding depth and richness to the story.

Set in the early 20th century, the film follows Trudy, born to immigrant parents in New York City in 1905. With the unwavering support of her older sister and devoted coaches, she rises through the ranks of the Olympic swimming team.

Despite adversity and the constraints of a patriarchal society, Trudy’s journey culminates in an incredible 21-mile swim from France to England. It’s a compelling story of perseverance and triumph.

Watching this story unfold was a truly extraordinary cinematic experience. Seeing Trudy take on the world, fight against the naysayers, and ultimately succeed was incredibly uplifting.

The film perfectly captures her grit and determination, and left me inspired and emotionally moved. This is the kind of story that reminds us of the power of the human spirit and the importance of never giving up.

Young woman and the sea It’s an incredible film that everyone needs to see. It will have audiences on the edge of their seats, rooting for the young heroine from start to finish. I loved the emotions she evoked and the sense of triumph she left in me. Don’t miss this incredible and special film, watch it at the cinema!

We need more films like this made, but people need to go out and watch them!
