Lucasfilm has released a new trailer for Star Wars: The Acolyte and teases more about the mysterious Sith Lord coming face to face with main character Mae (Amanda Steinberg).
The villain also says in the new trailer: “The Jedi live in a dream. But an acolyte is the dream. The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland previously shared how the story will explore who “The Acolyte” is and their connection to the Jedi and Sith.
He said: “You’ll find out by watching the show. It will be revealed. One thing to know about the show is that we talked about it as a mystery thriller. It’s a serialized story, so each episode gives you more information about the story.”
The Acolyte “will take viewers into a galaxy of dark secrets and emerging dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.” The High Republic is set 100 years before the start of the Skywalker Saga.
Steinberg plays a former Padawan and a dangerous warrior who is hunting and killing Jedi. In the story, “An investigation into a shocking crime wave pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Stenberg).
“As new clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal that all is not what it seems…”
The series is also the protagonist Squid game‘S Lee Jung Jae plays Jedi Master Sol, Manny Giacinto, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, Margherita Levieva, Joonas SuotamoAND Amy Tsang.
The premiere is scheduled for June 4, 2024 on Disney+.
