Narcos co-creator and co-writer Carlo Bernardo is developing an action thriller film titled The Deputy with the director Matt Sukkar, who is making his directorial debut. The film is based on the novel by Vittorio Gischler.
The film’s cast includes Duke Nicholson (We), William H. Macy (Fargo), Tiffany Haddish (Girls trip), Stefano Dorff (Lama), Jake tired (Oh, Canada) AND Giulia Fox (Uncut gems).
The official synopsis reads: “Part-time Deputy Toby Sawyer (Nicholson) is jolted awake by Chief Krueger (Macy) and assigned to guard a body until the coroner arrives.
“When the body mysteriously vanishes, Toby launches a frantic search and unwittingly uncovers decades of wrongdoing… and several cops who turned a blind eye, including Deputy Billy Banks (Dorff) who pressures Toby to ignore his findings.
“Only Deputy Amanda Jackson (Haddish) seems trustworthy. Desperate to keep his job, Toby must expose the city’s deep web of corruption before he and his career end up as dead as the missing body.
It looks like it could be an interesting and good movie and I like some of the cast members.
