Dan Stevens will star next Lily James in the upcoming film about Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd. There’s no word on who Stevens will play, but James will play Herd in the film.
Herd launched the online dating platform Bumble after co-founding and leaving Tinder, and became one of the youngest self-made billionaires at age 31, when Bumble went public in 2021. She stepped down as CEO last year.
Rachel Lee Goldenberg he will direct from a screenplay he wrote with Bill Parker and Kim Caramele. The film is said to be “loosely based on the Herd story”.
He has appeared in many projects recently with Godzilla x Kong: A New Empire AND Abigail, both recently released in theaters. Stevens will next appear in the thriller Neon Cuckoowhich seems crazy.
