Something interesting is happening with the long-running Friday the 13th horror franchise as it will be getting a multimedia universe called Jason Universe.
This announcement comes from Horror, Inc. and will reportedly include “new activations” for Friday 13th content, which will include movies, TV, games, “immersive experiences,” merchandise offerings and more.
They’ve also launched a Jason Universe website where you can find announcements for these various activations, which will be announced “throughout 2024.”

This novelty comes as a Friday the 13th prequel TV series called Crystal Lake was developed by Peacock and A24. Creator of TV series Hannibal Bryan Fuller he was at one point attached as showrunner, writer, director and executive producer, but is now no longer attached.
