This is the Thermonator, a robotic quadruped dog created by Throwflame and is equipped with a proprietary arc flamethrower.
The videos show the Thermonator in action and show it shooting fire. It also comes with laser targeting, good battery life, Bluetooth compatibility, and obstacle avoidance.
The description reads: “Thermonator is the first robot dog armed with a flamethrower. This quadruped is paired with the ARC flamethrower to provide fire on demand anywhere!”
Now, before you think this is a bad idea, which is what I obviously thought at first, there are a wide range of uses including fire control and prevention, agricultural management, ecological conservation, removal of snow and ice, entertainment and sound effects.
See! It’s all positive! There’s no way this thing will go rogue and go around setting people on fire!
