This month marks the 40th anniversary of The Neverending Storya timeless fantasy adventure that has captivated audiences since its debut in 1984.
To celebrate, I thought I’d share a couple of old trailers from the movie, which was one of my all-time favorites when I was a kid. Damn…I love this movie!
The Neverending Story is a gripping film that follows the journey of a shy and bullied boy named Bastian. While seeking refuge in a bookstore to escape his bullies, Bastian comes across a mysterious book called The Neverending Story.
When he begins reading the book in his school’s attic, he finds himself drawn into the magical world of Fantasia, which is on the brink of destruction by a malevolent force known as The Nothing.
The inhabitants of Fantasia desperately need a hero to save their world, and as Bastian continues reading, he becomes more and more intertwined with the fate of the story.
Led by Atreyu, a brave young warrior, the mission to save Fantasia unfolds, challenging both Atreyu and Bastian to overcome their fears and discover their true strengths.
After all these years, The Neverending Story it remains a beloved classic and continues to inspire the imagination. We actually dedicated two podcast episodes to this film which you can listen to here.
The film is currently being adapted as a new live-action series.
