Universal Pictures and Blumhouse are trying to make a sequel to the director Leigh Whannellthe horror film of 2020, The invisible man.
The star and producer of the original film, Elizabeth Moss, confirmed in an interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast that they are currently developing the project. He also said they are close to finding out.
Moss said: “Blumhouse and my production company [Love & Squalor Pictures]…we are closer than we have ever been to solving it. And I feel very good about it.”
He added: “We are very intent on continuing the story.”
Speaking previously about the possible sequel, the actress said: “I can’t really say too much, but it’s definitely not – it’s not necessarily in the rearview mirror, but I think we’ll have, with any sequel, obviously what you want.” to ensure you do the original justice.
“And so none of us involved are going to take another thing out and throw it up and see what happens. We really want it to be as good, if not better, than the first one.”
I thought the first movie was surprisingly good! It was inspired by the classic H. G. Wells history. In the first film, after Moss’s character, Cecilia Kass, becomes trapped in an abusive, controlling relationship with a rich and brilliant scientist, she runs away in the middle of the night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister, their childhood friend , and her teenage boyfriend. Daughter.
But when Cecilia’s abusive ex commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of disturbing coincidences turn deadly, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to falter as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone no one can see.
