Bill Skarsgard In the film she plays Boy, “who vows revenge after his family is murdered by Hilda Van Der Koy (Janssen), the deranged matriarch of a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty that has left the boy orphaned, deaf and voiceless.”
“Propelled by his inner voice, which he co-opted from his favorite childhood video game, Boy trains with a mysterious shaman (Ruhian) to become an instrument of death and is freed on the eve of the annual cull of dissidents.
“Chaos ensues as Boy commits bloody martial arts disasters, inciting a wrath of carnage and bloodshed. As he tries to find his way in this delirious realm, Boy soon falls in with a desperate resistance group, all the while feuding with the apparent ghost of his rebellious little sister.
This movie looks like a completely unhinged and incredibly fun action movie! I’ve seen a good amount of footage and there’s no doubt that it will entertain action movie fans!
The film comes from the producer Sam Raimiwas directed by Moritz Mohrand stars Bill Skarsgard (It) AND Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day ).
They are united by Michelle Dockery, Brett Gelmann, Isaiah MustafaAND Yayan Ruhianwith Andrea Koji, Sharlto Copley, AND Famke Janssen. The film is also narrated by H. Jon Benjamin (Archer), which is the voice in Boy’s head.
The creative team loves how different and unique this film is and they are very proud of this film and how it is unlike any other action film ever made.
Speaking about what inspired the film, the director said: “We talked a lot about what we loved. I love old kung-fu movies. I love Asian cinema. I play a lot of video games and read a lot of manga.”
He added: “Anime has a big influence. But also the shitty Saturday morning cartoons that I loved growing up. I knew I wanted to make a revenge film with a deaf protagonist, but that was literally the only constant.”
The boy kills the world will be released in theaters on April 26, 2024!
