The new trailer for DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE features a funny line from Rob Liefeld that he approves of

Marvel Studios has given fans a fantastic new trailer Deadpool and Wolverine recently and there have been a lot of fun details and Easter eggs for fans to find and enjoy.

One of those Easter eggs includes a joke at Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld’s expense, and it was a joke he actually approved because he has a sense of humor!

The joke is present in a scene where Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) are walking in an empty and destroyed city.

In the background you can see one of the shops called “Liefeld’s Just Foot”. The artist confirmed that he approved the prank almost a year ago. You can see her social media post below.

The Easter egg refers to a long-standing joke about Liefeld’s inability to draw feet in the comics he developed. In fact, the vast majority of Liefeld’s work features no feet, and the character’s legs are often covered or drawn to hide them.

There was even a crack about it Deadpool 2. There’s a scene where Domino (Zazzie Beetz) shows off his mutant abilities, and Deadpool jokes that having luck isn’t a real superpower and was probably created by “some crazy person” who “can’t move his feet”.

In the film, Deadpool attempts to recruit Wolverine to help him save his universe. As you might imagine, Wolverine is initially down and uninterested. So, the two end up arguing a lot before he agrees to join Deadpool on his adventure.

This comes after the Merc with a Mouth is taken by the TVA where he learns he has a higher purpose to save the Sacred Timeline, a job he wants Wolverine to help him with.

The synopsis reads: “After dealing with some professional setbacks while going through a mid-life crisis. Wade Wilson decides to officially retire Deadpool and becomes a used car salesman.

“But when his friends, his family and the entire world are at stake, Deadpool decides to bring his katanas out of retirement. He recruits a reluctant and wary Wolverine to not only fight for their survival but, ultimately, their legacy.

It is also explained: “That damn irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?”

It also includes the film’s confirmed cast Emma Corrin in the role of Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin AND Stefan Kapicic like Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in a TVA agent, and Leslie Uggam in the role of blind Al.

They are united by Brianna Hildebrand AND Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. This had already been confirmed Jennifer Garner she will return as Elektra in the film.
