Director Gareth Edwards he’s throwing his Jurassic world reboot and actor Jonathan Bailey is currently in talks to star in Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s big project.
Bailey recently starred in the Showtime series Travel friendsand also appeared in Bridgerton, Crash, Broadchurchand more. He also plays Fiyero in Universal Evil.
Scarlett Johansson is currently in talks to star in the film, so hopefully Bailey and Johansson will star together.
Steven Spielberg he is also a producer of the original film Jurassic Park scribe David Koepp is writing the screenplay for the film, which will be “a completely new take” on the franchise. And none of the original actors of Jurassic Park OR Jurassic world he will return for the new film.
Edwards, who impressed producers with his presentation, previously spoke about why he jumped into this thing Jurassic world film project, saying, “I was about to take a break and start writing my next movie idea and this is the one movie that would make me drop everything like a stone and dive right in. I love Jurassic Park.”
He added: “I think the first film is a cinematic masterpiece… so this opportunity is like a dream for me. And working with Frank Marshall, Universal and David Koepp, who is writing the script, I think they’re all legends. So I’m just very excited.”
Universal Pictures will release the film theatrically on July 2, 2025.
