The animation studio DreamWorks has revealed that we will see the animated sequel The Bad Guys 2 late summer next year. The second film, currently in production, follows the criminal gang of animal outlaws as they struggle to find confidence and acceptance in their newly minted lives as good guys. However, they are brought out of retirement and forced to do “one last job” by an all-female team of criminals.
The film is based on the New York Times bestselling book series by Aaron Blabey. The second part will reunite the directors and cast of the first film, including the Oscar winner Sam Rockwell he’s back as the charming, reformed pickpocket Mr. Wolf; Marco Marone plays the burglar Mr. Snake; Craig Robinson he is the master of disguise Mr. Shark; Grammy winner Antonio Ramos portrays the irascible Mr. Piranha; and Golden Globe winner Awkwafina will bring back his expert hacker, Ms. Tarantula, aka “Webs”.
Returns are too Zazie Beetz as Diana Foxington; BAFTA winner Richard Ayoade in the role of Professor Marmalade; Emmy winner Alex Borstein as police chief Misty Luggins; and Lilly Singh as Tiffany Fluffit.
Pierre Perifel he is co-directing with Damon Ross as producer. The co-director is JP Sanswho served as head of character animation The badsand the music is by returning Oscar-nominated composer Daniel Pemberton.
The bad guys 2 will be released in theaters on August 1, 2025.
