The full trailer for the slasher horror film IN A VIOLENT NATURE follows the journey of a monstrous killer

Here is the full trailer for a unique slasher horror film titled In a violent nature. What makes this film so interesting is that the story is told from the killer’s point of view. The story takes us on its monstrous, murderous and bloody journey.

The film premiered at Sundance and I heard it had some pretty hard and hardcore kills in the film, but a lot of people thought it was boring. You can read our review of the film here. Corrin said:

Literally, a comically large part of this film is the camera following our slasher as he trudges through the woods. This made the pacing inconsistent, with a lot of momentum lost between kills. And by the way, there are some of the most grotesque and over-the-top kills I’ve ever seen in this movie! Really gory stuff that I won’t describe because I really don’t want to spoil it for anyone. The moments where the slasher does his classic cut were the parts I thought worked best.

The film was picked up by Shudder and follows “the enigmatic resurrection, rampage, and retribution of an undead monster in a remote wilderness.”

In the film, “When a medallion is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that buries the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred by a horrific 60-year-old crime, his body is resurrected and he becomes determined to recover it.” . The undead golem zeroes in on the group of vacationing teenagers responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in his mission to get him back, along with anyone who stands in his way.

The film was written and directed by Chris Nas, and becomes the protagonist Ry Barrett, Andrea Pavlovic, Cameron Love, Reece Presley, Liam Leone, Charlotte Creaghan, Lea Rose Sebastianis, Sam Roulston, Alexander OliverAND Lauren Taylor.

Shudder’s vice president of programming said in a statement: “In a violent nature is a tremendous new slasher. We’re excited for you to meet Johnny, whose reign of terror honors the iconic subgenre while taking audiences on a singular and brutal new journey into it. Chris Nash’s bold perspective represents Shudder at its best, marrying the genre’s traditions with its own hilarious next steps.

The film will be released on May 31, 2024.
