MADAME WEB Concept Art reveals the detailed look of the comic costumes

Something new Mrs. Web Concept art has emerged revealing a detailed look at the costumes worn in the film by Cassandra Webb/Madame Web, Julia Cornwall/Spider-Woman, and Mattie Franklin/Spider-Girl.

This was a disastrous film, but there was a lot of work that went into developing it. Part of this work involved creating the costumes for the film… which only had two minutes of screen time. Even though I hated the film, I love the filmmaking process and am a huge fan of what concept artists do to bring films to life. It’s not the concept artist’s fault that the movie sucked!

This illustration comes from artist Imogene Chayes, now we have concept art featuring Madame Web (Dakota Johnson), Spider Woman (Sydney Sweeney) and Spider Girl (Celeste O’Connor).

The artist shared, “I had a blast working on this project. How can it not be fun to design super outfits for a bunch of beautiful women? I got to work with one of my favorite costume designers of all time, Ngila Dickson, which really gave me the opportunity to play with all the style lines of these dresses.”

Describing Spider-Man as his “favourite”, the artist added: “We decided to stick to his bold, graphic comic book style.”

Speaking about Mattie, Chayes said she was “a really fun character to work on” and explained, “I particularly enjoyed working with Ngila to flesh out the style lines of this costume, as well as giving her a cheeky attitude.”
