Emmy nominated actor Oscar Isaacbest known for his roles in Inside Llewyn Davis, Ex machinathe most recent Star Wars trilogy, Dune, Scenes from a weddingand Marvel Knight of the Moon, says he would like to return to the roles of Marc Spector/Steven Grant/Moon Knight/Mr. Knight/Jake Lockley in the future, perhaps in a Midnight suns project.
Shared on Twitter by @GeekHouseShow, via The Direct/SuperHeroHype Isaac was recently attending Middle East Film and Comic-Con in Abu Dhabi when he was asked which MCU project he’d like to see Moon Knight appear in one day. He responded, saying:
“I thought there was an interesting opportunity with Midnight Suns. There are such interesting characters in there. Now that we’ve laid the groundwork to find out who Marc, Steven, and Jake – minus – are, it might be an interesting opportunity to see him as part of a team and what that dynamic would be. I think it would be exciting. For me, I really hope there is room to explore this possibility.
Regarding the possibility of joining James Gunn and Peter Safran’s next DCU, Isaac said:
“For me, I no longer have a hard and fast rule. For me it only matters if there’s a good story and if it’s a great opportunity to do something interesting, something different and something that excites people. Whether it’s DC or whatever.
In October 2022, Isaac told ComicBook that there have been “specific conversations” about Moon Knight returning for a new Marvel Studios project; however, it was unsure at the time whether it would be a second season of the miniseries or something completely different.
He also hinted that Moon Knight’s next appearance could be in a “team thing,” like a Midnight Suns series or movie. “To be honest, it’s all about history,” she said. “Is there a story worth telling? It’s interesting? Will I feel embarrassed when it comes out? So the question is whether there is something worth pouring everything you have into.”
