Tom Zigo was promoted to Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs at MPA.
Zygo, who joined the MPA three years ago, will now report to Emily Lansner, vice president of communications and public relations, and Greg Safier, senior vice president of external affairs. The organization will take on a broader role as it integrates government affairs and communications teams.
“This new structure will help Tom continue his impressive work across the organization, including CARA, DE&I, and foreign affairs, research, and federal and state government,” Lenzner and Sapphire told staff Wednesday.
Zygo previously worked for Precision Strategies and Rubenstein Communications.

We are pleased to announce that Tom Ziggo has been promoted to Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs.
As part of his expanded role and to further integrate the Government Affairs and Communications teams, Tom will now present a dual report on me and Greg Sapphire. This new structure will help Tom continue his impressive work in the organization that includes CARA, DE&I and foreign affairs, research, and federal and state government.
Since joining the MPA three years ago, Tom has proven to be a valuable and integral part of not only the Communications team, but also a larger organization that supports multiple MPA divisions. Whether presenting our annual THEME report, managing complex press surveys or prioritizing promotion, Tommy tackles every challenge with professionalism and expertise. It brings a wide range of skills, talents and dedication to its work and delivers results that enable the Association to defend our members more effectively.
