MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVOLUTION teases connection to the classic live-action film

For those of you who watched Kevin Smiththe Netflix series by Masters of the Universe: Revolution, there’s a part to it that you may or may not have noticed. There’s a moment in the animated series that hints at a connection to the classic ’80s live-action film, Masters of the Universe.

In the series, “Man At War” and Orko visit the character Gwildor, originally introduced in the 1987 film. I believe this is the first time Gwildor appears in a He-Man project after the film. His interaction with the former “Man At Arms” suggests that the live-action film actually happened here and is canon.

In the story, Man At War and Orko go to Gwildor for help in reforging the Sword of Might. During that visit, Mat At War asks Gwildor to remember the time when they “traveled together across the universe”. This is a big tease that the Masters of the Universe the cinematic adventure is something they actually experienced together. It doesn’t confirm anything, but I believe it because, why not!? Let it be canon!
