A teaser trailer for the adapted theatrical event has been released The Lost Boys: A New Musicalbased on the 1987 teen vampire cult classic The lost boys. This musical will be directed by Michael Ardenwith music and lyrics by The rescuesthe book of David Hornsby and Chris Hochfrom the story of James Jeremias AND Janice Fisher. The project is produced by Giacomo Carpinello, Marco Chait AND Patrick Wilson (The evocation) by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theater Ventures.
There have been a few straight-to-DVD sequels over the years and many plans for remakes and reboots that never saw the light of day, but this musical is moving forward, as a teaser has already been released. We don’t have any information yet on when and where people will be able to watch it, but it looks like we’ll be able to share it soon.
I don’t know if anyone ever wanted or needed a sequel or musical to the first film, which is such a beloved film by those of us who grew up watching it, but here comes this one. Who knows, maybe it will be a lot of fun in the end. If it can embody the humorous, campy horror of the original, it could end up being a good time.
