Showtime has released a new trailer for the crime mystery series titled The woman in the wall. Ruth Wilson stars in the series as a woman who wakes up one morning to find a dead body in her house and has no idea who she is. This whole situation throws her life into complete chaos and she tries to figure out what the hell is going on. It looks like it will be a gripping and intense thriller.
The synopsis reads: “Lorna Brady is a woman from the small, fictional Irish town of Kilkinure who wakes up one morning to find a dead body in her house. Chillingly, Lorna has no idea who the dead woman is, or whether she might be responsible for the apparent murder. This is because Lorna has long suffered from extreme bouts of sleepwalking since she was taken from her life at the age of 15 and incarcerated in a convent. There, Lorna gave birth to her daughter Agnes, who was cruelly taken from her and whose fate Lorna never knew… As Detective Colman searches for a killer and Lorna searches for her daughter, their paths collide in ways they could never have predicted. Lorna’s search for Agnes will take her deep into her past and into the heart of Kilkinure’s darkest secrets, as she and Colman search for the answers they both so desperately need.
The woman in the wall was created by Joe Murtagh (Calm with Horses, Gangs of London), who is also the main writer. The series is also the protagonist Daryl McCormack as Det. Colman, together with Abby Fitz, Chizzy Akudolu, Lynn Rafferty, Fiona BrowneAND Hilda Fay.
The Woman in the Wall will stream on Showtime/Paramount+ on January 19, 2024.
