Pizza is one of my all-time favorite foods and I’ve had some amazing pizza in my life. The question is: where can you find the best pizza in the United States? Food blogger Joshua Weissman asked his audience to give their opinion on what the best pizza in the United States is. Ultimately he narrowed his search to three cities: Detroit, Chicago and New York City.
Pizza is one of the largest food businesses in the world, it is worth 141 billion dollars and America alone owns a third of that figure… America has done a great job in adapting this European invention into something of their own, while still respecting the traditional art form. That’s why today we’re going to try to find the best pizza in America.
He continues to crown New York City as the best pizza in the United States:
New York City is the winner, which means we’ll do our deep dive here, but with over 2,000 pizzerias in five boroughs, it’s nearly impossible to eat at every single one… I deliver the machines to the one and only person. New York City pizza expert Scott Wiener. He ate at every pizza place of note in New York City while leading his pizza touring business Scott’s Pizza Tours, and holds the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of pizza boxes in the world.
Personally, the best pizza I’ve ever had is Sapori Di 786 Degrees, with locations in Sunland and Pasadena CA. It truly is the best pizza ever made. If you live in the Los Angeles area, you have to try it!
