Phoebe Dynevor, SUPERMAN: LEGACY finalist Lois Lane, explains to Lois “save Superman”

During James Gunncasting process for Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy, Phoebe Dynevor he was reportedly one of three finalists for the role of Lois, which was ultimately cast Rachel Brosnahan.

During a recent interview, the Correctness The star talks about her experience auditioning for the role and offered some insight into what this version of Lois Lane will be like, explaining that “She saves Superman.” She told Variety:

“It was a whirlwind and then I knew it was over, but it was great. Save Superman. She is the brain; in reality she is the one without fear.

Having gone through the lengthy audition process for Lois Lane, she definitely has some knowledge of what Gunn’s vision for the character is, and it seems like it’s in line with the other iterations of Lois we’ve seen.

The film is also the protagonist David Corenswet as Clark Kent, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Mercede as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific, Skyler Gisondo like Jimmy Olsen, and María Gabriela de Faría in the role of Angela Spica, aka The Engineer. There is also Sara Sampaiowho was cast as Eve Teschmacher, the assistant and sometimes lover of the scheming villain Lex Luthor.

Superman: Legacy will tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”

Superman: Legacy will launch the cinematic portion of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. The theatrical release is scheduled for July 11, 2025.
