The 2024 Sundance Film Festival named 16 alumni from previous editions as members of the competition jury and also announced the five jurors for the Alfred P. Sloan Film Prize.
The list includes Debra Granik, Adrian Tomine and Lena Waithe in the American Drama Competition; Shane Boris, Nicole Newnham and Rudy Valdez in the American Documentary Competition; Jennifer Kent, Mira Nair and Rui Poças in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition; Mandy Chang, Monica Hellström and Shaunak Sen in the World Cinema Documentary Competition; Christina Oh, Danny Pudi and Charlotte Regan in the short film program competition; and Zal Batmanglij in the NEXT competition section.

The winners of the feature awards of the 40th edition of the Utah festival will be announced on Friday, January 26 at a ceremony at the Ray Theater in Park City, while the short film jury winners will be announced on Tuesday at the Shorts Awards & Party. 23 January. In addition to the award ceremony, members of the competition jury will participate in festive programs ranging from lectures and panels to a special quiz night for the 40th edition and a party for artist alumni.
The 2024 festival will take place January 18-28 in person in Park City and Salt Lake City, with a selection of films available online nationwide from January 25-28. Films in the competition categories awarded by the jury will be screened in person and via the online festival platform from 27 to 28 January.
