Christopher Nolan praises Zack Snyder for his influence on the superhero sci-fi film genre.

“There’s not a superhero sci-fi movie that comes out these days where I don’t see Zack’s influence,” Nolan said. The Atlantic Ocean in a profile dedicated to Snyder. “When you watch a Zack Snyder film, you can see and feel his love for the potential of film. It has the potential to be fantastic, to be magnified in its reality, but also to move and excite you.

Snyder is currently sitting on the Netflix throne with his latest film: Rebel Moon: Part One: A Child of Fire. The filmmaker is already thinking about what’s next, and when it comes to existing intellectual property, he’d like to take a shot at making a James Bond-style film.

“It would be cool to see 20-year-old James Bond,” he told the publication. “The humble roots he comes from. Whatever childhood trauma allows you to be James Bond. There must be something.”

Meantime, Rebel Moon Fans are expecting an extended version of the Netflix film soon, which will include “nearly an hour of additional content.” Snyder said this in a recent interview with EW that while he was “very proud of the PG-13 version of the film,” the R-rated version was his “original thesis of what the film could be.”
