EXCLUSIVE: Ethan Embry (Grace and Frankie) and Margarita Levieva (The two) is produced in Pittsburgh The gymnast, a new indie that marks the narrative feature film debut of writer-director Charlotte Glynn. Joining them is newcomer Britney Wheeler, a gymnast from upstate New York who was discovered after a nationwide casting search.
Played in Pittsburgh in 1993. The gymnast follows an aspiring Olympic gymnast and her single father, who is dedicated to his daughter’s success. When the young athlete suffers a potentially career-ending injury, their relationship suffers as they struggle to figure out who they are without gymnastics.
The producer of Pic is Ricky Tolleman (Manage this city, Jonathan). Max Mooney is co-producing with Randy Manis (Murder ball, The vocation), Luke Spears, Henry Simonds, Offer Egozy, Liesl Wilke and Kate Geller serve as executive producers.
