Dark and atmospheric trailer for the Norwegian horror film HANDLING THE UNDEAD

Neon has released a trailer for his upcoming Norwegian horror thriller titled Dealing with the undead. It seems like a very disturbing, dramatic and atmospheric film. In the film “On a hot summer day in Oslo, the new dead awaken. Three families dealing with loss try to understand what this resurrection means and whether their loved ones have truly returned.”

The description reads: “Reunion Renate Reinsve AND Anders Danielsen’s lie (The worst person in the world), Dealing with the undead it’s a visually expansive experience, filled with captivating imagery and subtle performances that collapse the space between the living and the dead. Director Thea Hvistendahl’s steady directorial hand gives his characters space to breathe, to mediate the moral gray area, letting the minutiae of pain guide them as they make their way through an extraordinary circumstance. Hvistendahl’s interpretation of Lindqvist’s novel tackles daunting questions about the body, the soul, loss, and moving on, pushing viewers to get to the root of resuscitation: What would you do and how would you feel if someone you loved returned?

The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvistthe writer behind it Let the right one in. Movie stars Renate Reinsve (The worst person in the world), Bjorn Sundquist, Bente Borsum, Anders Danielsen Lie, Bahar ParsAND Inesa Dauksta.

The film will premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.
