Magnolia Pictures has released a trailer for a supernatural indie horror film set in the desert titled Sowing. The story centers on a hiker who gets lost in the wilderness, and a band of feral children driven by disturbing legacies trap him in a sadistic fight for survival with a frightening ending. So, it seems like a good time!
The film is described as a “slow-burn thriller” and “a chilling nightmare that confronts headlong our fears of isolation and toxic, uncontrolled masculinity.” Barnaby Clay and becomes the protagonist Scott Haze AND Kate Lyn Sheil.
It was filmed in Kanab, Utah, and looks like a strange and disturbing horror film worth checking out.
The synopsis reads: “We can probably agree that growing up is hell, but growing up alone in the desert is a different kind of hell. That’s what a hiker (Haze) discovers when he encounters a lost child while photographing a ‘solar eclipse. What begins as an act of good Samaritanism turns into a deadly cat-and-mouse game between him, a group of menacing teenage boys, and a mysterious woman with a unique bond to them (Sheil). simple catchy title. It’s something much more terrifying.”
The Seeding will be released in select US theaters and on VOD starting January 26, 2024.
