I have a couple of videos here to watch today John Woo’It is a classic 1997 action thriller Face/Off. There’s a video that walks you through the making of the film, and there’s another video that offers some really fun behind-the-scenes b-roll footage.
I remember watching this movie in theaters when it first came out and it was a wild ride! Nicolas Cage and John Travolta both gave the craziest, funniest, most over-the-top performances!
In the film, Travolta plays FBI Special Agent Sean Archer and Nicolas Cage plays mercenary terrorist Castor Troy. The story revolves around Archer’s desperate mission to stop Troy from detonating a bioweapon. To infiltrate Troy’s crime syndicate, Archer undergoes groundbreaking face-swapping surgery, swapping identities with his nemesis. The narrative takes a shocking turn when Archer, now facing Troy, must navigate the criminal underworld and earn the trust of Troy’s associates, while the real Troy, surgically altered to resemble Archer, awakens seeking revenge.
