Trailer for Pixar’s SOUL, TURNING RED and LUCA theatrical releases

Disney has announced that it will release the three Pixar films Soul, Turning redAND Luca in theaters for the first time. These films were released on Disney+ during the pandemic, but now they will finally get a proper theatrical release. The studio released a trailer to promote the occasion.

The three Pixar films will be released in theaters starting from January 12, 2024 with Soul, from February 9 for Turning Red and from March 22 for Luca. Next, Disney will release Pixar’s Inside Out 2 in June 2024.

Soul is co-directed by the director Pete Doctor (Monsters Inc., Up, In and Out) AND Kemp’s powers. Luca is directed by Enrico Casarosa (TheMoon). Turning Red is written and directed by Domee Shi (Bao).

Soul “imagine that every person on earth comes pre-installed with a soul formed and perfected in a cosmic realm. Joe Gardner is a middle school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But a small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to the Antecedent, a fantastical place where new souls gain personalities, quirks and interests before going to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious 22-year-old soul who has never understood the allure of the human experience. As Joe desperately tries to show 22 what’s good in life, he may discover the answers to some of life’s biggest questions.

In Turning red: “Growing up is a beast. Young actress Rosalie Chiang voices Turning Red’s Mei Lee, a thirteen-year-old who suddenly “snorts” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which is pretty much ALWAYS). Sandra Oh voices Mei Lee’s protective, if not somewhat overbearing, mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager.

Luca is “the coming-of-age story of a boy who experiences an unforgettable summer full of ice cream, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his new best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply hidden secret: he’s a sea monster from another world just beneath the surface of the water.
