The TWISTED METAL series has been renewed for a second season by Peacock

If you liked the first season of the live-action Twisted metal series, you’ll be happy to know that the show has been renewed for a second season. The first season of the series turned out to be really damn fun, and I’m not surprised that we’ll get another season.

Showrunner, writer and executive producer Michael Jonathan Smith said in a statement: “I have to thank our incredible fans – I read every comment and was blown away by everyone’s love, support and enthusiasm.” enthusiasm for a paper bag. We are more than grateful to be able to continue the story of John Doe, Quiet and Sweet Tooth as they face familiar faces and grim new foes in the long-awaited Twisted Metal tournament. The mixtape is ready and I’m excited to get back on the road with our stellar cast and crew.

The first-season series follows a loud-mouthed outsider who is offered the chance at a new life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of an axe-wielding car thief, he takes on sleazy individuals driving damage-dealing vehicles and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all-too-familiar ice cream truck.

The series was developed by Rhett Reese AND Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland) and was based on the classic video game.

Anthony Mackie AND Will Arnett not only are they the stars of the series, but they also serve as executive producers. They are united by Brooklyn Nine-Nine alum Stefania Beatrice, Joe Seanoa (AEW) e Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man 3).

Peacock says the series is the most binge-watched original in its first week. It currently ranks among the top three Peacock originals of all time as new viewers continue to discover the series.
