THE Fantastic Four the casting rumors keep coming and this recent report from an insider Daniele Richtmannwho states that Marvel Studios is trying to find a cast Anya Taylor-Gioia (The Queen’s Gambit, The New Mutants) In Fantastic Four. It hasn’t been revealed which character is in the running, but he’s rumored to be in the running for a mystery villain role.
If I had to guess who that character might be, it was previously reported that Galactus would have a female herald in the film, and this seems like the kind of key role that Taylor-Joy would fit perfectly into. Oscar winner Javier Bardem He is reportedly in talks to take on the role of Galactus.
Taylor-Joy is a fantastic actress and it would be great to see her play a great role in a Marvel movie. The other casting reports have come in saying this Pedro Pasquale would take on the role of Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Venessa Kirby (Napoleon) would play Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, alongside her Joseph Quinn (Stranger things) as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The bear) as Ben Grimm aka The Thing. Then, there is Mads Mikkelsen who is in the running to play Doctor Doom.
Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedmanwho was brought in to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springer.
Being a project in Phase Six of the MCU, Fantastic Four the release is scheduled for May 2, 2025.
