The director of SCREAM 7 reacts to the firing of Melissa Barrera and the Studio shares a statement

Yesterday we learned that the star of the Scream franchise Melissa Barrara was fired from Spyglass Media for comments she made on social media about the Israel-Hamas conflict. The director of Screams 7, Christopher Landonshared his reaction to X’s firing, which has since been deleted, but said:

“This is my statement: 💔 Everything sucks. Stop yelling. This was not my decision to make.

Spyglass Media finally shared their statement and how shocked they were by the actress’ behavior on social media saying:

“Spyglass’ position is unequivocally clear: we have zero tolerance for anti-Semitism or hate speech in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that blatantly crosses the line limit of incitement to hatred”.

In case you need a reminder of what Barrera said on social media:

“Gaza is currently being treated like a concentration camp. Putting everyone together with their backs against the wall, with nowhere to go, without electricity, without water… People have learned nothing from our stories. And just like our stories, people are still silently watching it all happen. THIS IS GENOCIDE AND ETHNIC CLEANSING.”

Whatever the reason the story was developed Screams 7 now it will have to be reworked because its franchise star won’t be returning. I imagine Jenna Ortega will lead the charge of the franchise from here on out.

We can also expect to see the return of Freemason GoodingAND Brown Savoy Jasmine. maybe some other familiar faces will return too.
