Pierce Brosnan star of a new action thriller titled Quick Charlie and the first trailer has been released giving us a look at what’s in store. Brosnan plays a repairman, who faces a unique problem when the target he eliminated is missing its head. This event sends him on a wild adventure. It looks like an incredibly fun movie and Brosnan gives a fun performance.
In the film, “Charlie Swift, aka ‘Fast Charlie,’ is a repairman with a problem: the target he hit is missing its head,” the synopsis reads. “And he must prove that this is the intended target for the man who paid for the crime: the most important and ruthless mobster in New Orleans, Beggar Mercado. Charlie recruits Marcie Kramer, the victim’s ex-wife and a woman with the backbone and skills Charlie needs. Dragging Marcie back into a past she was determined to escape sends the two on a wild and unpredictable odyssey that is unexpectedly funny, action-packed and ultimately heartfelt. Along the way, Charlie and Marcie fight to protect the legacy of Charlie’s best friend and mentor, Stan Mullen, while taking down Beggar and his entire operation.
Quick Charlie is directed by Philip Noyce (Clear and present danger, salt) from a screenplay written by Richard Wenk (The equalizer, the mechanic), and is based on the novel Gun Monkeys by Victor Gischler. The film is also the protagonist Gbenga Akinnagbe, Morena Baccarin, Toby Huss, Sharon Glessand the delay James Caan in his final film performance following his death in July 2022.
The film is scheduled to arrive in select theaters and on VOD on December 8th.
