THE MARVELS producer talks about the final scenes and credits and what they have prepared

The wonders came out last week, and while it got mixed reviews, it was exciting to see the film’s final and mid-credits scenes within the film, while setting up some great future storylines for the MCU. Before we dive into them, know that there are plenty of spoilers ahead.

In a recent interview with EW, the film’s executive producer Mary Livanos spoke about the film and delved into the final scenes. When asked about the first scene and what inspired them to involve Kate Bishop, Livanos said:

“They are both younger heroes from the tri-state area. I loved the Hawkeye show and I’m excited for all the characters in that area to start coming together. What we’re gleaning here will lead to some pretty interesting things for whatever the other Marvel teams have planned for the future.

I thought it was so nice to see her again! I’ve been hoping to see her introduced in Marvel movies ever since Hawk eye series finished.

Then she dove into the even wilder scene where Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) awakens in another dimension with Lashana Lynch as binary e Kelsey Grammer returned as Beast. When she was asked if she always knew The wonders it would be the film to introduce the X-Men, Livanos explained:

“The idea of Monica ending up in an alternate universe with the hope that she can connect with the X-Men has been something that’s always been on my to-do list. I love how in the comics Carol Danvers as Binary spends some time with the X-Men in space, and I love the idea that in an alternate universe it was Maria who brought Carol Danvers back to the hangar during the events of Captain Marvel . her, so she won and got those powers. That was something that was always really intriguing. Once again, in Kelly Sue DeConnick’s Captain Marvel series, there’s an incredible plot where Carol essentially time travels and gives herself powers in the past, rather than the male Captain Marvel. It was always a really shocking and beautiful storyline that we wanted to bring to life in some way. So, we tried to capture that spirit with this film and, of course, it harks back to their conversation on the porch when Carol goes to visit Maria.”

He went on to add:

“But I’m so happy that Kevin [Feige] and people were excited about the idea of Binary and the fact that it fit into the X-Men universe. As a fan, I was absolutely amazed and happy that I could throw in Beast and have a big ol’ X, right behind Binary. They were bananas.

When asked how Kelsey Grammer got involved, she said:

“Kevin Feige just called him! Kevin, of course, has worked on the X-Men films in the past, so they have a wonderful relationship. We were so lucky to have him.

He then spoke about Lynch’s return in the new role of Binary, saying:

“What I love about Lashana and the character of Maria is how near and dear Carol is to her, and how dear she is to Carol. She’s a real action star in her own right, and I really liked the idea of her being her action hero in a different Marvel storyline. I’m so excited for whatever the future may bring for her. I have high hopes and I know the fans really want to see more from Lashana.

I loved the movie and I loved the way things unfolded at the end of the movie. I can’t wait to see how these storylines play out. The wonders It’s now in theaters around the world.
