Fun new trailer for the stop-motion action comedy CHICKEN RUN: DAWN OF THE NUGGET

Netflix has released a new trailer for the upcoming stop-motion animated action comedy Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. This serves as a sequel to the classic 2000 stop-motion animated comedy Chicken Run, and if you liked that film, you’ll like this one. Sounds like it’s a great time for the whole family!

In the film, “For Ginger and her flock, everything is at stake when the dangers of the human world come home to roost; they will stop at nothing, even if it means risking their hard-won freedom to save the chickens. This time they’re breaking in!”

The film was directed by Sam Fell, who shared in a statement: “They say a film is only as good as its villain and Ginger’s nemesis, Mrs Tweedy is one of the all-time greats. She now wants to take industrial-scale revenge on all kinds of chickens with “Dawn of the Nugget”. Miranda has a unique understanding of drama and comedy, she makes you laugh while she scares you half to death at the exact same time. Also rounding out our fantastic cast is Peter Serafinowicz as Reginald Smith, a somewhat bewildered businessman visiting Mrs Tweedy’s giant nugget factory.”

The film’s voice cast includes Thanks Newton as Ginger, who creates a peaceful haven away from the human world after recently escaping the evil Tweedy Farm. She is joined by Beautiful Ramsey like Molly and Zechariah Levi as Rocky. Ginger and Rocky were voiced in the original film by Giulia Sawalha AND Mel Gibson.

Miranda Richardson (Good omens) reprises her role as the arch-villain Mrs. Tweedy. She will be joined by the comedian Pietro Serafinowicz as hapless businessman Reginald Smith. The rest of the cast includes Jane Horrocks, Imelda Staunton, Lynn Ferguson, Josie Sedgwick-Davies, David Bradley, Romesh Ranganathan, Daniel Mays AND Nick Mohammed.

The franchise was launched by the creator of Wallace and Gromit Nick Park and co-founder of Aardman Animations Peter Lord. Chicken Run grossed over $225 million at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing stop-motion animated film of all time.

Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget will premiere on Netflix on December 15th. Enjoy the trailer!
