Disney confirms that FROZEN 4 is in development

CEO of Disney Bob Iger confirmed that the studio is officially developing Frozen 4which is obviously in addition to what was previously announced Frozen 3.

Iger made the announcement from Hong Kong Disneyland during the opening ceremony of the new ‘World of Frozen’ attraction, while appearing on Good Morning America, saying: “Well, I’ll give you a little surprise there, Michael. Frozen 3 is in the works and there may be a Frozen 4 even at work. But I don’t have much to say about those films right now. But Jenn Lee who created Frozenthe original Frozen AND Frozen 2he’s working hard with his team at Disney Animation on not one but actually two stories.

Frozen Franchise singer-songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez AND Roberto Lopez will return to write new music for the next two films, Anderson-Lopez later confirmed means of social communication. “Well, I’ve been quiet here for a while,” she wrote. “But yes, this.”

Immediately after the ceremony Iger said: “We have been creating these large immersive worlds in our Disney Parks for years. Essentially, they are the physical embodiment of some of the greatest stories we’ve told… And, of course, Frozen being one of our most valuable franchises, as you said, a very successful film, I think it’s perfect to build the place where Frozen is set. It’s just an amazing place that allows people to immerse themselves in the story of ‘Frozen’ and interact with all the great characters from the films.”

Additionally, Iger said, “I think the best thing is that you visit and you actually get to meet Olaf, Anna, Elsa and the whole gang of Frozen. Of course there are great attractions, but there are also great restaurants. I think what’s great is that you really feel like you’re in the place where the movie is set. And it gives you this powerful sense of story that I think people have come to love over the last decade.

I liked the movies in Frozen franchise because they told good stories with good characters. Let’s hope the creative team behind the franchise continues to tell great stories as they expand the franchise with two more sequels.
