Jack Nicholson hasn’t made a movie in 13 years, so what is he doing these days?

Jack Nicholson He hasn’t made a film in thirteen years, and while he hasn’t officially retired, he seems to be enjoying life in retirement.

The last film Nicholson starred in was the 2010 romantic comedy How do you know. Over the years he has been approached for projects but has not accepted any. So, what is the actor doing these days to fill his time? Sitting under the trees and reading books.

According to the WTF With Marc Maron podcast, Nicholson just wants to relax. Maron said, in a conversation with Lou Adler, that he is a friend of Nicholson:

“A friend of mine wanted to put him in a movie. And he had a conversation with him. But Jack says, ‘I don’t want to do it.’ He says, “Do you know what I did today? I sat under a tree and read a book.”

Adler went on to say:

“Jack is doing what he really wants. He wants to be comfortable. He wants to eat what he wants, he wants to live the life he wants.”

So, it sounds to me like he’s retired, but he’s still willing to talk to people about possible film projects, so he’s not completely done.

Nicholson is an icon in the world of cinema, renowned for his incredible acting talent and a career that has spanned several decades. He has the uncanny ability to embody a wide range of characters, from the charming and charismatic to the deeply disturbed and sinister.

Some of Jack Nicholson’s most memorable and acclaimed performances include the role of Randle P. McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor. He also gave an unforgettable performance as Jack Torrance Stanley Kubrick’S The brilliant (1980). He was also fantastic as the Joker in Tim Burton’s film Batman (1989). Nicholson’s career is full of incredible performances and I hope we see him on the big screen again one day. Otherwise it’s completely understandable that he just wants to relax and read a book.
