Netflix has dropped a badass teaser trailer for a new dark comedy action series titled The Sun Brotherswhat stars Michelle Yeoh. The series follows a Taipei gangster named Charles Sun, who settles into life as a ruthless killer. But when his father is shot by a mysterious assassin, Charles must travel to Los Angeles to protect his mother and his unaware younger brother Bruce.
The series was co-created by Brad Falchuk AND Byron Wu and it looks extremely fun, and will also be filled with lots of cool martial arts action!
In the story, “When the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad is shot by a mysterious assassin, his eldest son, the legendary assassin Charles “Chairleg” Sun (Justin Chien) travels to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (Michelle Yeoh), and his naive younger brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li) – who until now has been completely shielded from the truth about his family. But as Taipei’s deadliest corporations and a rising new faction clash for dominance, Charles, Bruce, and their mother must heal the wounds caused by their separation and figure out what brotherhood and family truly mean before one of their countless enemies kill them. All.”
The series is also the protagonist Highdee Kuan, Joon Lee, Alice Hewkin, Jon Xue Zhang, Jenny Yang, Madison HuAND Rodney A. Netflix debuts The Sun Brothers series on January 4, 2024.
