Netflix has released the full trailer for Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire in which Sofia Boutella’s Kora assembles a team to start a revolution.
The film’s logline, which opens on December 22, reads: “After Kora (Boutella), an alien with a mysterious past, crashes on a moon in the far reaches of the universe, a new life in a peaceful settlement begins. from farmers. But she soon becomes her only hope for survival when the tyrannical regent Balisarius (Fra Fee) and his cruel emissary, Admiral Noble (Ed Skrein), discover that the farmers are unknowingly selling their crops to the Blood Axes (Cleopatra Coleman and Ray Fisher). sold. – Leader of a ferocious band of insurgents hunted by the Mother World.”
“Looking for warriors who would risk their lives to defend the people of Veldt, Kora and Gunnar (Michiel Huisman), a mild-mannered farmer ignorant of the realities of war, travel to various places in search of the Bloodaxe worlds and introduces a small group of warriors who share a common need for redemption along the way: Kai (Charlie Hunnam), a pilot and a hired gun; General Titus (Djimon Hounsou), a legendary commander; Nemesis (Doona Bae), a master swordsman; Tarak (Staz Nair), a prisoner with a royal past; and Milius (E. Duffy), a resistance fighter. Back on Veldt, Jimmy (voiced by Anthony Hopkins), an ancient mechanical protector hiding in the wings, awakens with a new purpose. Snyder is directing the sci-fi adventure and co-writing it with Kurt Johnstad and Shay Hatten.
On screen with Boutella are Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, with Charlie Hunnam and Anthony Hopkins as the voices of “Jimmy.” The film also stars Staz Nair, Fra Fee, Cleopatra Coleman, Stuart Martin, Ingvar Sigurðsson, Alfonso Herrera, Cary Elwes, Rhian Rees, E. Duffy, Jena Malone, Sky Yang, Charlotte Maggi and Corey Stoll.
Producers of the film series include Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Eric Newman and Wesley Coller, as well as EPs Bergen Swanson, Sarah Bowen, Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad.
The sequel titled Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver will be released on April 19, 2024.
