For some reason Jared Leto climbed the Empire State Building with a strange stunt

Jared Leto recently pulled off a bizarre stunt where he scaled the Empire State Building, and a video was posted to social media on the Empire State Building’s official X account showing part of it.

I don’t really understand the stunt, as I’ve seen other footage and in some places, it all looked awkward with the way he was doing the climb. He wore a full suit during the climb and had a rope attached which may have helped pull him up at times.

Furthermore, he only climbed the top 18 floors of the building. I would be much more impressed if he started from the bottom.

Leto spoke about the stunt on the Today Show, saying: “I was more excited than nervous to tell you the truth. But I have to be honest, it was very, very difficult. It was much harder than I thought. Just the stamina needed, the stamina needed and it was very strong.

Leto is the first person to legally climb to the top of the Empire State Building and explained that climbing it was something that was on his bucket list. Leto continued, “It’s incredible. Watching the sunrise over the city meant so much to me. Ever since I was a child, New York was the place you went to make your dreams come true. And as a kid I wanted to be an artist, and New York was the place where you became an artist. And the Empire State Building has always been that symbol for me.”

Once he got to the top, Leto said, “I got to the top, and I was just saying, I saw my mother in the 80th floor window, and it was a nice surprise.”
