The hit animated film from DreamWorks Animation The bads is getting a holiday short film titled The bad: a very bad holidayand Netflix has released the first trailer.
The film actually serves as a prequel to the original film and sees Wolf, Shark, Piranha, Snake, and Tarantula go on an adventure to try and advertise Christmas after the holiday is canceled so they can carry out a heist they were planning. . The synopsis reads:
In this new adventure set before the events of the film, there’s nothing the Villains love more than Christmas morning, because while everyone is at home opening presents, it’s the perfect time to carry out their Christmas heist across the city. But when Christmas is unexpectedly cancelled, the Bad Guys must do the unthinkable: rekindle the town’s Christmas spirit by giving instead of taking. Based on the DreamWorks Animation film The Bad Guys.
The film was directed by Bret Haaland, but although the characters are the same as those present in the film, they are voiced by a different cast. The original movie was a lot of fun, and while this special isn’t quite as good, Christmas movies always tend to do well.
The bad: a very bad holiday will be released on Netflix on November 30th.
