STRANGER THINGS producer Shawn Levy says the actors won’t age in season five

The fifth and final season of Stranger things has yet to be filmed and all those young actors who were cast in the series are not so young anymore. The longer they wait to film the next season, the older they get. Regardless, manufacturer Shawn Levy has no intention of aging the main cast.

Levy had previously said that the show’s producers would do everything they could to make the children’s aging less noticeable because it has been several years since the previous season finished production. However, he recently clarified that no CGI will be used to rejuvenate him. When asked about it in an interview with Deadline, he said:

“NO. I was a little surprised that something I said on this topic got such wide circulation. The bottom line is, we know what we’re doing on this show. Our cast is brilliant. And these characters created by Duffer are so vivid. I’m not worried about everyone adapting and bringing them back to life.

Stranger things Season 5 was originally supposed to begin filming earlier this summer, before the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Things remain in a holding pattern until all that stuff gets resolved. When it comes to the final season, co-creator Ross Duffer shared that this final chapter of the story will be an emotional arc for Will Byers (Noah Grappa) and which will tie the entire series together. Ross Duffer explained:

“Will will take center stage again [season] 5. This emotional arc for him is what will hopefully unite the entire series. Will is used to being the young one, the introverted one, the one who is protected. So part of his journey isn’t just sexuality — it’s Will coming out as a young man.”

When previously describing Stranger Things 5, the writing team described the next chapter of the story as “like if seasons 1 and 4 had a baby. And then that child was injected with steroids.”

We know that the final episodes “return to season one.” Matt Duffer he previously said, “We’re starting to see him come of age, really, which has been challenging for a number of reasons; some of which are supernatural. But you’re starting to see him come into his own.”

Ross Duffer he added, “I think you’ll see that in a couple of character arcs, not just with Will. But also with Steve and Nancy, and his relationship with Jonathan, where things aren’t completely resolved. The characters maybe have made some steps, as in Will’s case, but that journey isn’t over yet. All of that will play a huge role as we try to wrap this thing up next season.”

Noah Grappa he also said, “I can just tell you that I’m very, very excited for what’s to come. I think they’ve done a great job with Will’s character this season, and they’ve handled everything they need to do beautifully. The way they they closed the show is just perfect: the story began with Will and will end with Will.”

The show is set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s, and follows a group of friends as they investigate supernatural events and government conspiracies as they plunge the small Midwestern town into an apocalyptic nightmare. The series has been praised for its strong cast, twisting plots and nostalgic references to 1980s pop culture, which Hamilton fits perfectly into.
