Universal has released the trailer for the film adaptation of the classic TV series The Autumn Man. Directed by David Leitch and written by Drew Pearce, the film stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Winston Duke, Stephanie Hsu, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Hannah Waddingham. The film will be released in theaters on March 1, 2024.
In The Autumn ManColt Seavers (Gosling) is a veteran stunt performer who was once considered the best in the business, although his career is slowly declining due to age and injuries. When she is hired to work on the set of Jody’s (Blunt) film, things get difficult when the star of her film (Taylor-Johnson) disappears and the entire film production is in jeopardy. As a heroic stuntman, Colt goes in search of the actor and risks his life to get the job done and save his job.
The film, inspired by the 1980s series of the same name, is directed by Leitch, who is producing through 87North with his partner Kelly McCormick, along with Guymon Casady, who is producing through Entertainment 360.
Pearce, who worked with Leitch at Universal Fast & Furious Gifts: Hobbs & Shawwrote the screenplay and serves as executive producer.
Gosling is producing alongside Leitch, Casady and Kelly McCormick, while original series creator Geoff Shaevitz and Cecil O’Connor serve as executive producers.
