New disturbing trailer for SILENT HILL: ASCENSION Interactive Experience

A trailer for another one just came out silent Hill project entitled Silent Hill: Ascension. This is an interactive experience that comes from Genvid Entertainment and Konami Digital Entertainment. As a long time fan of this horror franchise, I was intrigued and can’t wait to give it a try.

Ascension Day “will follow the complex lives of two families in peril, linked by disturbing visions and terrifying monstrosities that haunt them to the brink of damnation.”

The trailer introduces us to a character called Astrid Johansen, accused of killing her son. This is sure to be another dark story. Johansen denies the accusation, but we’ll just have to wait and see how the story unfolds.

The story focuses on the Hernandez family in Pennsylvania and the Johansen family in Norway. There are also rumors that there is a cult involved in the story as well. As for the two families, it is explained that “survival depends on overcoming their darkest impulses.” In the experience, the viewer actually has an impact on the characters and whether they can overcome those dark impulses.

CEO Genvid Jacob Navok spoke Silent Hill: Ascension, and says that even he doesn’t know how the series will end. “There has never been an experience like Silent Hill: Ascension before,” Navok said. “It’s not a game but an interactive streaming series that will change as the audience makes decisions together. Even though I am the executive producer of the title, I don’t know how it will end. This is in your hands. And the content you make will be streamed worldwide on televisions and phones, through our relationships with Sony Pictures, Google, Apple and others. Participating in Silent Hill: Ascension every day means you will be part of a story that will never come again.”

The first episode of Silent Hill: Ascension will be available October 31st at 6pm PT. Viewers can watch live and participate on the Silent Hill: Ascension app (via the App Store or Google Play).
